Gunmen invade South Jersey home

UPPER TOWNSHIP, N.J. - June 23, 2010

Investigators say the two men broke into the home about 11:00 on Tuesday night.

The house is on the 100 block of Perry Road in the Petersburg section of Upper Township, Cape May County.

Inside of the home was a 32-year-old male home owner and a 30-year-old woman.

The suspects pistol-whipped the male and demanded cash. The victim handed over the cash and the men fled on foot.

State police arrived with a K-9 which was able to find a scent. The K-9's led the police to an area where they believe the suspects got into a car.

Police say they have good leads and are investigating.

The male was treated for his injuries and the female was uninjured.
