3 dead in 2 separate Phila. shootings

TIOGA-NICETOWN - June 24, 2010

Two separate shootings in Philadelphia claimed three lives early Thursday morning.

One was in the Tioga-Nicetown section, where a 25-year-old man was shot in the head.

That happened on the 2100 block of Estaugh Street shortly after 1:00 a.m..

About 15 minutes later, police responded to a double shooting in Kensington.

They found two men gunned down along the 2200 block of North Howard Street.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses tell police they saw at least two people fleeing from those shootings on dirt bikes.

So far, police have not indicated if they have any suspects or motives in the murder cases.
