1 arrested in pizza man robbery, 2 others sought

HARRINGTON, Del. - June 26, 2010

On Friday, police arrested Janice Brown, 24, of Harrington, Delaware and charged her with robbery, possession of a deadly weapon, and related charges.

Two additional suspects have been identified and have not been captured. They are identified as Damarius Turnage, 22, of Harrington, Delaware, and Charles Barlow, 22, of Harrington, Delaware. They are wanted for the same charges as Brown. Detectives believe the three conspired together.

It is alleged that it was in fact Janice Brown who made the call on June 8th to a local pizza shop and prompted the delivery person to respond to a vacant home on Argos Choice Road.

Once at the address, the pizza deliveryman phoned the recipient of the pizza in order to get a better location and was informed to bring it into the unoccupied home.

When he knocked on the door, he was confronted by two suspects clothed in Halloween attire. One of the suspects was displaying a shotgun. The victim was ordered to the ground while one of the suspects removed his money.

The suspects then tied the 49-year-old male victim up with coax cable and fled the vacant house through a rear door. The victim was able to free himself and drive back to his place of business and report the incident to state police.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Turnage or Barlow is asked to call Troop 3 at 302-697-4455. Tips may also be forwarded to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-333 3 or on line at www.tipsubmit.com .
