2-alarm fire displaces 8, injures firefighter

CHESTER, Pa. - June 26, 2010

The fire occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on the 2600 block of Price Street in Chester.

When crews arrived, they reported the house was fully-involved and had spread to two adjoining homes.

The houses were vacant at the time of the fire. The fire was eventually placed under control about 45 minutes later, but not before injuring one fire fighter.

His injuries were deemed non-life-threatening; he was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center with a back injury.

Eight people from the three homes are now displaced because of the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
