It happened around 10:30 Saturday night on the 600 block of East Lincoln Highway, near Pennsylvania Avenue.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy, suffered a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Brandywine Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made at this time. Police are asking anyone with information about this crime contact detectives at 610-384-2300.
