Police say an Allentown woman was shot in the leg around 12:30 a.m. Monday while she slept with her child in her first-floor apartment. Capt. George Medero said the woman, whose name is not being released, is expected to fully recover.
Medero said Rafael Pequero Campo is being charged with assault and reckless endangerment.
Police say the bullet went through the floor of Campo's second-floor apartment and the ceiling of the first-floor apartment before striking the female tenant below.
There was not a listed phone number for Campo and he couldn't be reached for comment.
