4 Phila. deaths blamed on June heat

PHILADELPHIA - June 29, 2010

A 46-year-old woman was found dead in a first floor bedroom at a home in West Oak Lane. The home had no fan or air conditioning and the windows were closed.

An 88-year-old man was found dead in a first floor bedroom of a house in Germantown. The house had no air conditioning. A box fan was running but all the windows in the home were closed.

Earlier in June, the deaths of two men were related to the heat, according to Philadelphia authorities.

A 77-year-old man died in a Wynnefield home with no air conditioners of fans on June 3rd.

A 50-year-old man was found dead on a South Philadelphia Street on June 2nd. Officials say he was wearing a heavy wool three piece suit when he died.
