The accident happened along Germantown Pike near Church Street shortly after 3:00 a.m.
According to officials, the driver of a Dodge Durango skidded off a road and slammed into Lafayette Auto Center, trapping the man in the wreckage.
Firefighters in a fire house across the street rushed to free the man.
He was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Police have not said what caused the man to lose control of the SUV.
