Twenty-three-year-old Stephen Benford was charged early Wednesday in the death of 22-year-old Gina Schickling, whose body was discovered in Independence Township, N.J., behind a home where Benford's parents used to live.
Schickling had been missing since June 30, when she was last seen at a Philadelphia club.
Police say Benford stabbed Schickling multiple times after the couple argued at the apartment they shared in the city's Kensington neighborhood.
It was not immediately clear if Benford had an attorney.
