Search for 3 suspects in Del. home invasion

LINCOLN, Del. - July 8, 2010

Early Wednesday, police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Sherman Avenue where a home invasion took place at 1:30 a.m.

The victims tell detectives they were all asleep at the time of the crime. The victims were sleeping on both the first and second levels of the residence. It is not known how the suspects were able to gain access into the home.

Once inside the house, however, the suspects systematically went room to room and confronted the victims. The suspects demanded money, drugs and also took the victims' cellular phones. The suspects, after obtaining these items, duct taped the victims' arms together.

The suspect displayed a knife throughout the incident and at one point struck a 28-year-old victim on his head with the handle of the knife.

A 26-year-old victim, after being duct taped, was also "head butted" by the male carrying a knife. None of the victims, all between the ages of 21 and 34, required medical attention.

The suspects fled the scene to an unknown location. State Police K-9 along with others officers canvassed the area for the suspects however were unsuccessful in locating them.

The three suspects are described as (1) a white male, 6' tall, 180 pounds. He was wearing gloves, a white hat, and an orange t-shirt. (2) A black male, 5'6 tall, 175 pounds. He was wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt, white tennis shoes, long black shorts with a yellow band around them, and (3) a white female, 5'4, 110-130 pounds. She was wearing blue shorts, a white t-shirt, and white tennis shoes.
