Kaine Horman said in a request for a restraining order against Terri Horman that investigators told him that his wife had tried to hire someone to kill him.
The claim was made in the request for the order, which was sealed. A Portland judge released the court documents Thursday in response to a request from news organizations.
Horman has filed for divorce from Terri Horman, who was the last person known to have seen Kyron at his Portland school before he vanished on June 4. Investigators have not named her as a suspect or a person of interest.
A lawyer for Terri Horman did not immediately return a call Thursday.
