A police chopper and cruisers swarmed 28th and Albert streets in North Philadelphia at around 12:30 a.m.
Officials say this was where a man shot at officers following a foot chase .
No officers were struck.
The suspect scaled a wall into a schoolyard to flee authorities.
Police soon caught up with the suspect and brought him into custody.
He was wanted for shooting a man earlier in the night at 27th and Huntington streets.
The victim was found shot multiple times.
Investigators have not released the condition of the victim in that shooting.
