Witnesses tell police at around 7:30 p.m., a white van was following another vehicle on the 4800 block of Levick Street.
People in the van were said to be shooting at the car.
A stray bullet then struck 18-year-old Taralyn Witzel as she was sitting on the front porch of her home.
She was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Witzel recently graduated high school and is attending college in the fall.
Police are investigating.
