A double shooting at 11:20 on Monday night broke up a party at a bowling alley in the 7300 block of Elmwood Avenue.
Someone opened fire, wounding a 23-year-old man in the head and grazing a 20-year-old woman in the back.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The woman is in stable condition.
The gunman jumped into a car and drove off.
He remains on the loose.
About two hours later, a gunman fired a hail of bullets at a 36-year-old man along the 1900 block of South 57th Street.
Police found bullet shells strewn across an intersection at 57th Street and Kingsessing Avenue.
The victim is in serious condition at the hospital with several gunshot wounds.
The suspect is on the run.
Police have not said if they know who the shooter is, or if they know why he opened fire.
