The crash happened just past 2:00 a.m. Thursday at Boathouse Row in the Fairmount Park section of Philadelphia.
Police say one car spun towards the Schuylkill River and was stopped by a curb, knocking down a light pole.
Both cars sustained heavy damage. Two of those injured in the crash became trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated.
All three victims were transported to the hospital with various injuries. All are expected to recover.
