About 60 cats removed from Camden home

CAMDEN, Del. - July 15, 2010

Mary Ann D'Amato, community outreach coordinator for the SPCA, says an investigation is under way that could lead to criminal charges but that the homeowners are cooperating with authorities.

Officials did not release the homeowners' names.

D'Amato says the cats, seized Wednesday, appear in good health and that SPCA officials hope to find homes for them.

Kent County households are allowed to have four domestic animals.
