The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 4500 block of Old York Road.
The girl was shot in the lower left leg and the boy suffered wounds to both elbows.
Both were rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment in stable condition.
Police say there was a congregation of about 40 people conducting a neighborhood rap contest when someone drove by and opened fire.
The wounded kids are believed to have been unintended targets.
Police have not connected this shooting to the unruly crowd a few blocks away at Broad Street and Hunting Park Avenue.
