At around 2:50 p.m., New Castle County police responded to the area of the 400 block of Homestead Road for a report of a robbery that just occurred.
When the officers arrived, the parents of the 5-year-old boy reported their son was just assaulted and knocked off of his bicycle by a teenage male known as "Ears."
The victim indicated the suspect was last seen riding off toward the entrance of the community.
Officers then searched the area and located the suspect riding the victim's bike near the Canby Park Shopping Center.
At the time of his arrest, "Ears" said he found the bike in Browntown.
He was arrested without incident and charged with robbery.
The bicycle was returned to the victim.
