Man trapped 40 feet high in tree freed

WILMINGTON, Del. - July 18, 2010

At around 2:30 p.m., New Castle County fire crews and paramedics were called to South Booth Drive in Penn Acres.

There, a 49-year-old was trying to cut down a tree when his arm became stuck due to a large branch falling and trapping his arm.

The man was about 40 feet up in the tree for a few hours.

Crews were able to free the trapped man after an arborist removed the branch.

He was transported to Christiana Hospital in an unknown condition.
