Autopsy of Pa. mom Jenna Lord "inconclusive"

CAMDEN, N.J. - July 19, 2010

The body of Jenna Lord, 23, was found two weeks after she went missing after a party.

Lord had been missing since July 5.

Police tell Action News that, due to the hot weather and recent rains, the body was badly decomposed leading to inconclusive autopsy results.

There were no apparent sign of trauma, but officials are not ruling anything out at this time.

Officials also say it is unclear exactly when Lord died, though when her body was found she was wearing the same clothes as she was seen wearing on July 5th.

Investigators are looking into whether other tests may explain how Lord died.

Family members say her body was discovered Sunday afternoon in Camden after they set out to look for her.

Lord had gone missing following a family barbecue in nearby Collingswood. Family members say she called from a New Jersey train station to say she was on her way home to the Philadelphia suburb of Collingdale before she disappeared.

Police say Lord got off the train in Philadelphia, returned to Camden and was never heard from again.

Lord's family says she was the mother of a 3-year-old son.

Investigators from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Camden Police Department are conducting interviews with people who may have had contact with Lord shortly before her death, and the investigation remains open.
