Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel says an autopsy performed by the county medical examiner's office determined that Ventnor Police Officer Justin Brown died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Brown was found early Wednesday inside his Galloway Township residence, but further details were not disclosed.
The 29-year-old Galloway Township resident was a four-year veteran of the police department.
