The 5'11, 210-pound Powe had 15 points and 54 penalty minutes for Philadelphia last season.
He also had one assist and six penalty minutes in 23 playoff games as the Flyers advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they lost to Chicago in six games.
In the playoffs, he led the Flyers and ranked third among all players with 65 hits.
Powe, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, signed with the Flyers as a free agent on May 24, 2007, after spending four years at Princeton University.
