Police were called to the 400 block of West 7th Street shortly before 8:00 a.m. where they found a 45-year-old man suffering from a gun shot wound to the back.
Initial reports indicated the shooting occurred in the area of 4th Street and Washington Street and the teen ran to West 7th Street where he collapsed.
He was transported to Christiana Hospital.
There is no information yet on his condition.
