Police say the men started to argue then one of them pulled a gun and began striking the other man in the head.
The man being assaulted attempted to run inside the house and down to the basement, where he was locked in by the other man.
Both the gun toting man and the woman fled the scene on foot and were last seen running in opposite directions along 58th Street. The victim, managed to break out a window and escape. He was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
