Deputy Colleton County Coroner Richard Carter says 47-year-old Rosa Dominguez and 48-year-old Sergio Dominguez Sr. died Wednesday night when their van went off the side of the road around 7:30 p.m. The couple from Easton, Pa., died at the scene.
Fire and Rescue Director Barry McRoy told multiple media outlets that nine other people were in the van.
Carter says the relatives had been on their way home to Pennsylvania after spending vacation visiting relatives in Florida.
Several other passengers including three children were treated at hospitals. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
