Police search for Bear, Del. bank robber

BEAR, Del. - August 6, 2010

The incident occurred at the TD Bank located in the Governor's Square Shopping Center at approximately 10:55 a.m.

Police say the male suspect entered the bank and handed the teller, a 19-year-old Wilmington man, a note demanding cash.

The note implied that the suspect was armed; however, no weapon was displayed.

The teller then turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then fled the bank on foot.

The suspect was also given a dye pack in the money that exploded as he ran toward the rear of the shopping center.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described a black male in his late 30's to early 40's, with an average build, 5'9" to 6' tall. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black baseball cap, dark jeans, and dark sunglasses.
