Rip currents possible along Jersey coast

Lifeguards might have to restrict swimmers from going in the ocean at New Jersey beaches Monday.

Forecasters say remnants from former tropical storm Colin could produce a risk of moderate rip currents.

The storm weakened as it passed by Bermuda on Sunday. However, it's expected to generate onshore winds and a southeast swell along the New Jersey coastline.

A moderate risk of rip currents means swimmers should be cautious and never swim alone or at night.
