It happened around 4:00 p.m. on Tuckahoe Road near Church Road in Marmora.
New Jersey State Police say 80-year-old Joan Ponton (Pon-tone) of Ocean City, New Jersey was traveling east on Tuckahoe Road when her vehicle crossed the center line.
Her car hit the front axle of a tractor-trailer going west on Tuckahoe Road.
Ponton, who was the only person in her car, died in the crash.
The truck driver was unharmed.
Police are investigating.
