The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Butler and Ridge Pike in Whitemarsh Township.
A minivan and a SUV collided, trapping one of the drivers inside their vehicle. One of the drivers was injured in the crash and taken to an area hospital. There is no word on their condition.
Traffic was detoured while crews and investigators worked the scene.
