Family of missing father, boy speak out

August 24, 2010 "We want TJ home, grandma's concerned, and uncle's concerned. I want by brother home, I want TJ home."

The Dusseault family has been unable to say much beyond their worry for 38-year-old Terry Dusseault and 8-year-old Terry Junior.

The two were last seen Tuesday morning in their Lumberton home where they live with TJ's uncle. TJ's mother is deceased.

Authorities say Dusseault Senior caught wind of sex assault charges being filed against him and took off with his son to avoid arrest. TJ's uncle describes his brother as a good father.

"A concerned dad, he wouldn't do anything bad."

But police issued the amber alert because they were concerned about Dusseault's mental state after charging him with sexually assaulting three Burlington County juveniles. In all, six counts of Child sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges in NJ.

Dusseault was already a registered sex offender, convicted in 2007 for child pornography in North Carolina. His 36 month probation recently expired.

Dusseault Senior is described as 5-10, 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. A tattoo on his left arm says NY and a tattoo on his upper chest bares the word Schaney. He was last seen wearing a tan short sleeved shirt and khaki shorts, driving a 2001 black Hyundai Santa Fe, registered to his girlfriend Amy White. The NJ License plate number is LXB61U.

TJ was last seen wearing a maroon and white striped shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who can provide information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911.
