A t approximately 11:49 p.m. responding officers found the 35-year-old victim in the area of 26th Street and Speakman Place suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper right leg.
According to investigators, the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by three unknown male teenagers. One of the teens pointed a gun at the victim and told him to "spread 'em". The other teens then began to go through the victim's pockets.
The victim began to fight back, but was knocked to the ground. The gunman fired two rounds at the victim, striking him once in the leg.
He was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was treated and released.
The suspects are described as three black males in their teens wearing black tee shirts.
