Sgt. Monica McMenamin tells The Press of Atlantic City that several people called police around 10 p.m. Thursday and said they heard nine or 10 shots fired in or near the Stanley Holmes Village complex.
McMenamin says responding officers found one woman who told them that someone shot through the front door of her apartment. No other details were immediately available.
Officers could be seen using flashlights to search for evidence.
