Man dead, teen wounded in Wilmington shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead and a teenager wounded.

Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the area of Vandever Avenue and Locust Street in Wilmington shortly after midnight Sunday.

While en route, two victims showed up at Wilmington Hospital in a personal vehicle.

One victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot numerous times and was pronounced dead.

The other victim, a 16-year-old boy, was also shot numerous times but was listed in stable condition.

Police are investigating and there is no word yet on a suspect or motive.
