Two nighttime Phila. shootings leave two critical

PHILADELPHIA - September 25, 2010

The first shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Lippencott Street in West Kensington.

Police say a 19-year-old man was shot at that location.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

No arrests have been made.

At around the same time, another shooting took place at Broad and Pike Streets in Tioga-Nicetown.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the stomach and is critical at Temple.

Police have taken a man into custody for questioning in connection with the shooting.
