Medics were called around 1:00 p.m. to the accident on the 5500 block of Mascher Street.
State Police tell Action News that the trooper attempted to perform a routine traffic stop, but the vehicle took off.
The trooper took chase and the pursuit ended with an accident on the 5500 block of Mascher Street.
The suspect was taken into custody.
The State Trooper was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.
