Coroner IDs woman killed in crash with Pa. bus

NORTHAMPTON, Pa. (AP) - October 7, 2010

Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek says 24-year-old Kassandra Smith, of Easton, died in Wednesday's crash. Lysek says Smith was behind the wheel of a car that collided with a Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority bus.

Three other people were hurt in the crash just outside Easton, about 50 miles north of Philadelphia. Investigators say an adult and infant in the car and the bus driver were injured.

Witnesses told The Morning Call of Allentown the car caught fire following the collision and passers-by doused the flames with small fire extinguishers.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
