3 Conn. men accused of trashing NJ Catholic center

MADISON, N.J. - October 14, 2010

Surveillance video showed five men ripping out light fixtures and shrubs, tearing down signs and destroying a mailbox at St. Paul Inside the Walls in Madison on Oct. 8.

Warrants were issued for Rocky Hill, Conn. residents Tyler Cook and Timothy Perkins, both 19, and 20-year-old Jacob Colapietro, from Ellington, Conn. They're charged with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree conspiracy to commit criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal trespass.

Madison police Lt. Darren Dachisen told The Daily Record of Parsippany police believe the three were visiting a student at nearby Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Police don't believe it was a bias crime.

Officers are seeking two other suspects.
