Officers were called to the intersection of 9th and Locust around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
There were four reported indecents where a total of five women were assaulted in that area in a short period of time. The victims were all students at Thomas Jefferson University.
The offender, identified as 23-year-old Johnathan Acevedo from the 600 block of W. Dauphin Street, was arrested in the 1200 Block of Arch Street.
Acevedo is charged with two counts of Simple Assault and Indecent Assault. Charges are pending in reference to the other two incidents.
