Parents accused in death of son say he harmed self

YORK, Pa. - October 20, 2010

The Patriot-News of Harrisburg said Wednesday that defense filings this week in the case against Michael and Nanette Craver of Dillsburg said Nathaniel had been diagnosed with reactive attachment disorder, which includes a tendency to injure one's self.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against he couple, saying the child had been tortured.

Authorities say 46-year-old Michael Craver showed up at a Camp Hill hospital in August 2009, saying he had found the boy in bed, unresponsive. After he died a few days later, authorities said he suffered traumatic brain injury and was malnourished.
