25-year-old Lisandro Otero-Ortiz is accused of getting drunk with, and then having sex with, a 14-year-old girl.
The alleged incident happened in June but was only reported to authorities on Friday.
Otero-Ortiz was then arrested on Saturday.
Otero-Ortiz has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and give up his weapons, for now.
He is now free on $50,000 bail.
The officer is a four year veteran of the force.
