Man shot in attempted Pizza Hut robbery

PORT RICHMOND - October 27, 2010

The victim, a 22-year-old man, is a part-time employee but was simply visiting the restaurant at the time.

According to investigators, two men walked in the door and announced a robbery.

The men then hit the victim, and the manager, in the face with pepper spray.

One of the men struggled with the 22-year-old, who also works as a security guard, over his gun.

That gun went off and struck the victim.

The two suspects took the gun then fled in a white Chrysler with heavily tinted windows.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No money was taken.
