Feds raid Philly cyber-porn business

PHILADELPHIA - October 27, 2010

Officials hauled boxes and boxes out of the offices of National A-1 Advertising and Hotmovies.com located at 106 South 7th Street inside the Washington Square Building.

Authorities refused to say what they were removing from the site.

James Cybert, a company official, wrote on his Twitter page, "Nothing like having 100 plus federal agents in your office." He added the agents were tightlipped and were refusing to divulge the contents of their search warrants.

National A-1 is the brainchild of Drexel graduate Richard Cohen.

In 2006, Action News was granted access into the firm's state of the art computer operations in Center City that are protected behind high tech security locks.

At the time, the phone sex lines produced the big money, but the fast growing online porn site, then with 32,000 movies and grossing $20-million, was expected to grow.

Today, as agents were busy, one woman who said she was reporting for her first day on the job was turned away by state troopers.
