Police: Pa. trick-or-treaters find suicide victim

LEWISBERRY, Pa. - October 29, 2010

The York Dispatch reported Friday that police were called Thursday evening after children found the 68-year-old man in the Conewago Valley Mobile Home Park.

Newberry Township Police tell the paper they don't know exactly when the man shot himself in the head, and that it's possible some people thought it was a Halloween decoration.

Authorities blocked off the area immediately, and say they believe that few children saw the scene.

Police say the man was very ill, lived alone and didn't want to go to a hospital or nursing home.

The mobile home park is located between York and Harrisburg in York County.
