The crash happened around 9:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the turnpike in Lower Southampton.
At least four vehicles were involved in the crash, three of which were pinned along the concrete barrier in the left lane.
Commuters traveling west on the turnpike were forced to exit at Route 1 while crews worked to clear the accident scene.
The scene was cleared and traffic on the turnpike reopened around 10:30 a.m.
One person suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to the hospital.
