Several left homeless due to New Castle fire

Crews were on scene of an apartment fire in New Castle Delaware that left several people homeless.

Crews were on the scene of an apartment fire in New Castle, Delaware that left several people homeless.

The fire was reported at the William Penn Village Apartments at around 2:30 p.m.

Reports say it started on the second floor and spread to the third floor.

About a half a dozen people are left without a home because of smoke and fire damage.

The fire was brought under control within a half hour.

There were no reported injuries, however, fire crews had to rescue several pets from the apartment.
