Investigators say the fire broke out Wednesday evening in Erwinna, Bucks County. Tinicum Township Police say the fire was noticed by a passing motorist who called 911.
An elderly woman's body was discovered inside the dwelling after firefighters arrived.
Police did not immediately identify the woman and are trying to notify her family. The Bucks County Coroner's Office is investigating the cause of death.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
