Arrest made in Bucks County nail salon murder

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TWP., Pa. - November 12, 2010

Upper Southampton police and Bucks County detectives have arrested Thuy ("Tony") Vo, 31, of Philadelphia for the murder of An-Hnan Thi Huynh.

Ms. Huynh, known to her customers as "Annie or Kim", was the owner of Kim's Nails on Second Street Pike in Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County.

On Monday morning at approximately 9:19 a.m. police were called to Kim's Nails. Employees there reported that they had arrived before 9:00 a.m. when the business was scheduled to open. They found personal belongings of the Huynh, who typically arrived before her employees, but were unable to locate her.

The door to the bathroom located near the rear of the shop was locked and no sound came from within. An officer broke into the bathroom where he found Ms. Huynh dead.

A post-mortem examination by the Bucks County medical examiner disclosed that Ms. Huynh had been strangled.

Police say Tony Vo is a family acquaintance of the victim. Investigation disclosed that Vo was closely involved with the victim's business as well as her personal life and that serious arguments between the two had been observed in recent days.
