Fmr. Temple student sentenced in hit-and-run

PHILADELPHIA - November 22, 2010

A judge sentenced Nicholas Hasselback to three to six years in prison followed by seven years probation. He pleaded guilty to the crime back on October 1st.

He faced up to 34 years in prison.

The accident happened back in April on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Hasselback, 23, was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses in the car accident that left Tony Foltz in critical condition.

The 25-year-old Temple law student suffered serious head injuries.

Hasselback surrendered to police a few days after the crash.

He had been due to graduate from Temple in May.
