Authorities say 64-year-old William Kimmel fractured his wife's neck, eye socket and wrist in the beating Friday night in Bethlehem.
Police say a weak-voiced Sandra Kimmel called police Sunday morning saying she'd been attacked. When officers arrived, they say William Kimmel said his wife was sleeping upstairs.
Authorities say Sandra Kimmel's eyes were swollen shut and she was bleeding from a gash on her head when officers found her.
Police say Sandra Kimmel said her husband pummeled her after she returned from playing cards at a senior center.
William Kimmel is being held on $200,000 bail.
