Pa. man shot in 'massage gone wrong'

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - November 22, 2010

The shooting happened inside the apartment of 30-year-old Owen Wilson on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, 19-year-old Sunshine Daubert came to his apartment to give him a massage, but police say she is no masseuse.

Instead, investigators believe Daubert was trying to rob Wilson. In fact, police say Wilson was face-down, expecting the massage, when he was shot.

However, Wilson not only survived, but he was able to tell investigators what happened before being taken into surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

"He is expected to survive and we're checking with the hospital on a time frame on when he will be released," said Capt. George Medero of the Allentown Police. "He's very fortunate."

Daubert was arrested later Saturday after police were called to a loud party at her house on Mechanic Street in Bethlehem.

She ended up getting arrested for drug possession and child endangerment because her one-year-old was there during the celebration.

When Bethlehem Police did a check on her name they saw Allentown Police were already looking for her on attempted murder charges.

Now, Daubert is being held on half a million dollars bail.

Neighbors said they knew Daubert was a party girl, but they never expected this.

"She was a good girl, the times that I met her," said Elsa Alicea.

Investigators also believe another woman was in the apartment with Wilson and Daubert, but do not know who she is.
